Black Light Terminal Mirror Mirror Agencies Pre-Anniversary Show

Black Light Terminal  Mirror Mirror Agencies Pre-Anniversary Show
Brisbane based modelling agency Mirror Mirror Agencies are turning one in September and to celebrate they hosted a show on August 5th at C Gallery on James Street.

This year’s event showcased fashion from Soot, Melange Boutique, The Bunker Boutique, Zara McKenna, Rochadames and I Envy Alex, with hair by Vanilla Salon and make up by the Academy of Make Up.

The show had a post-modern feel, blurring the boundaries of wearability. Deconstructed garments floated on the tape outlined runway while jagged sounds littered the air. Hair was sculptural and raw; a teased mess of gigantic proportions. Model’s faces were at times marked with neo-tribal paint evoking a sense of belonging in a disjointed procession.

I hope you enjoy my collection of images. If you’re in them feel free to leave me a comment.

When I was in New York last month I shopped like a maniac. Sephora, Betsey Johnson, Barneys – you name it. The most frustrating thing? Not being able to shop at these places now I’m back in Australia. Enter USA Shopping Affair!

USA Shopping Affair offers personal shopping buying sprees in the USA as well as mail forwarding for all your online shopping all the way to Australia.

Each month they nominate a US online retailer that they purchase bulk orders on behalf of clients, allowing them to buy single items without the excessive expense.

Charmaine Graham, founder of USA Shopping Affair says that “there are a lot of companies based in the US offering package forwarding services, but none are coordinated from Australia consolidating multiple client purchases to enable discounted shipping. Essentially USA Shopping Affair facilitates ‘collective buying power’ that an individual would not normally have access too. The result is an affordable and reliable shipping option that offers online shoppers even more incentive to snap up bargains from the US.”

USA Shopping Affair – personal shopping service

  • You let them know what you want to buy;

  • They purchase on your behalf and arrange shipment to you;

  • You pay the cost of the item plus applicable US sales tax;

Redheads have it rough. We’re pariahs in school, viewed as soulless, perfect candidates for skin cancer, and frequently asked perverted anatomical questions. Over the past few years, Hollywood stars like Emma Stone and Lindsay Lohan have sexed up the ginger image, but only “Mad Men” actress Christina Hendricks has influenced red-haired women to finally embrace and appreciate their unique roots. She’s a natural blond, yet there’s no better redhead spokesperson than this hourglass figured southern sweetheart.

Last month, Danish director Nicolas Winding Refn expressed glowing interest in signing Hendricks on for a “Wonder Woman” remake. Whether or not that pans out, Hendricks will always be Wonder Woman to fellow redheads, drooling male fans, and curvy women. Check out our montage of the voluptuous celebrity sexpot, the savior for all carrot-tops alike.
